Fungsi pet dalam lineage mencakup
1. Sebagai teman dalam pertarungan dan hunt karena mampu menyerang dan mempunyai skill.
2. Sebagai taxi (alat transportasi) pribadi kita karena bisa kita kendarai.
3. Sebagai inventori tambahan karena bisa mengambil dan menyimpan item.
Type nya ada 2 yaitu :
1. Adult NPC pets : Wolf, Hatchling, Strider dan Wyvern.
2. Baby Pets : Baby Buffalo, Baby Cougar dan Baby Kookabura.
Untuk mendapatkan seekor pet, kamu harus memenuhi syarat syarat yang harus dipenuhi sebeleum kalian mengambil Q untuk memiliki seekor pet.
a. Pet Manager Martin of Gludin untuk
pet wolf, syaratnya kamu harus
berlevel 15+.
b. Pet Manager Cooper Of Giran untuk
pet Hatchling, syaratnya kamu harus
berlevel 35+.
c. Pet Manager Wiseman Cronos of Hunter Village untuk pet jenis hatchling yang telah menjadi level 55 dan ingin di revolusi menjadi Strider.
d. Pet Manager di Dion Castle, Giran Castle dan Gludio Castle untuk pet bertipe Baby Pet.
Pet secara otomatis akan mengkonsumsi makanannya, jadi kita tidak perlu memberikan makan pet kita, cukup membeli suplai makanan dan pet akan makan dengan sendirinya ketika status laparnya dibawah 55%.
A. Wolf
Wolf bertipe Agility (kecepatan). Karena tidak terlalu kuat maka kamu harus menaikaan levelnya dengan hati hati supaya tidak mati.
Serigala adalah pet yang bisa didapatkan oleh karakter dengan level rendah (Lv15++). Wolf memiliki great agillity Karena wolf dianggap memiliki physical strength yang rendah, pemiliknya diharapkan merawatnya secara hati-hati. Wolf tidak mempunyai special skills

Mengumpulkan Bloody Fang dari monster yang sudah ditentukan (di area kota kelahiran).
Bicara lagi dengan Martin di Gludin.

Bicara dengan Metty (Guard di Dion)
Bicara dengan Ellie (Trader di Jewel shop Giran)

Pengalaman: Saya sempat mengulang Test karena tidak menemukan guide yang tepat untuk Quest Get A Pet ini. Quest ini membutuhkan adena yang lumayan banyak. Saya melakukan Quest ini sebagai dark elf karena ras ini dapat menyelesaikan Quest tanpa harus menggunakan jasa gatekeeper yang tentu saja menghemat adena namun butuh waktu lama. Selain Darkelf, Elf juga dapat menelesaikan Quest ini tanpa menggunakan jasa gatekeeper.
Saran: Jangan lupa untuk membawa ressurection scroll setiap hunting bersama Pet karena ketika pet mati waktu hanya tersisa 20 menit untuk dibangkitkan sebelum pet hilang selamanya. Sayang 'kan?
(Di lineage gracia dibilang batasnya 24 jam, saia belum berani coba lebih dari 20 menit baru membangkitkan pet).

B. Hatchling

Hatchling adalah pet berbentuk baby dragon dan dapat berubah menjadi strider. Jenis - jenis hatchling antara lain :
* Hatchling of Twilight: The Hatchling of Twilight tidak memiliki special ability, tapi hatchling ini adalah hatchling dengan speed paling tinggi diantara tipe yang lain. dengan kata lain taxinya lineage deh.
* Hatchling of the Stars: The Hatchling of the Stars adalah jenis yang dekat dengan magic. memiliki 2 skill magic yaitu skills Bright Burst untuk mendamage target dan Bright Heal untuk mengheal hpnya sendiri
* Hatchling of Wind: The Hatchling of Wind bisa di sebut hatchling tipe badak. Hatchling jenis ini menggunakan skill Wild Stun untuk mendamage dan memiliki kemungkinan stun dan Wild Defense untuk menaikkan p.def dan p.attack nya.
Hatchling of wind lebih mudah di levelling lalu di ikuti hatchling of the star. Tapi kalo soal kuat, star lbh kuat dibanding tipe yang lainnya.
How to get Hatchling
Klo lo mo dapetin Hatchling, lo harus menyelesaikan quest yang bisa diambil melalui NPC Pet Manager Cooper yang ada di Giran Castle Town. Oh iya, untuk mengambil quset ini minimal lo level 35. Nah klo lo uda menyelesaikan questnya, nanti lo dikasih salah satu dari item berikut secara random :
a. Dragonflute of Wind
Untuk memanggil Hatchling of Wind (Tipe Magic. Bisa magic musuh dan bisa heal diri sendiri)
b. Dragonflute of Twilight
Untuk memanggil Hatchling of Twilight(Ga punya spesial skill, tapi dengan cepat dapat berubah menjadi Strider yang cocok sebagai sarana transportasi) atau
c. Dragonflute of Star.
Untuk memanggil Hatchling of Wind(Tipe Fighter. Bisa skill Wild Stun dan Wild Defense untuk ningkatain P.DEF dan P.MDEF Hatchling)
Note : Move to a safe spot and right-click on it to call up your Hatchling.
Ketika hatchling mencapai lv 55, hatchling bisa berubah menjadi strider dengan cara menyelesaikan quest.Bicaralah dengan NPC Wiseman Cronos di Hunters Village untuk mendapatkan cara mengubah menjadi strider.
- Ketika berubah menjadi strider, smua abnormal status, meteran lapar dan sebagainya akan di reset dan di tata ulang.
- Ketika seekor hatchling menjadi strider maka tidak bisa kembali lagi ke hatchling. (item utk memanggil hatchling dan strider berbeda).
- Cara levelling strider sama dengan levelling hatchling.
- Mengendarai strider dengan cara menekan tombol mount/dismount pada bagian action window (alt + C)
- Ketika player mengendarai strider maka :
* P. Atk dan Speed status mengikuti statusnya strider.
* Status lainnya mengikuti statusnya player
* Jika Level dari player lebih kecil dari level stridernya maka P.Atk dan Speed Strider akan dikenai penalty.
* Jika Level player lebih kecil dari level strider sebesar 5 level ato lebih maka P. Atk. strider akan dikurangi 50% ato lbh. untuk setiap tambahan beda 1 level lagi akan dikurangi lagi 5% P.Atk stridernya.
* Jika Level player lebih kecil dari level strider sebesar 10 level ato lebih maka Speed strider akan dikurangi 1/2
* Mengendarai strider saat meteran laper kurang dari 50% maka Speed strider akan dikurangi 1/2
* Bisa melakukan basic combat.
* Tidak bisa menggunakan pyhscal skills.
* Jika player menggunakan equipment, maka equipment tersebut tidak ada efeknya bagi strider tersebut.
* Magic Skills bisa digunakan.
* Saat mengendarain Strider, palyer memiliki buff, maka buff tersebut hanya akan ngefek ke player doank. ga ke strider nya. Jadi kalo char qt ada buff MIGHT makan efeknya tidak akan menaiikan P.Atk strider qt.
* Inventory yang dipakai adalah inventory player
* Tidak bisa melakukan action, buka toko jual ato beli.
* Kalo memakai potion, maka efeknya adalah ke player bukan strider.
Dengan kata lain, saat ngendarain strider, yang dipakai adalah HP player.
*Experince smuanya selama hunt adalah ke player bukan ke strider
* Strider mengkonsumsi lebih sedikit food
- Ketika dismount dari strider maka strider akan langsung hilang dan kembali ke inventory
- Kalo strider mati (Bukan saat dikendaraiin) harus cepat di res, jika terlalu lama dibiarkan maka strider bisa hilang. Gunakan scroll of resurecttion untuk menghidupkan kembali.
Evolve hatchling to Strider
Quest Upgrade Hacling lv 55 Menjadi Strider Syarat

Mempunyai hacling lv 55
Langkah langkahnya :
- Temui Wiseman Chronos di Hunter Village dengan mensumon hacling lv 55 kamu.
- Dari Hunter Village telepor ke Enchated Valley, northern region
- Temui dan berbicaralah Mymyu yang berada di tengah tengah Enchated Valley
- Carilah 4 buah pohon (abyss, Star, Wind, Twilight) yang berada di bagian selatan Hunter Village.
- Berbicaralah dengan ke 4 pohon tersebut. Hall yang harus diperhatikan :
Hacling harus selalu dalam keadaan di summon selama Quest
Pada saat berbicara dengan NPC hacling harus d
alam posisi dekat dengan masternya, (tidak boleh ketinggalan)
Jangan membunuh Pohon
- Kembali ke Mymu di Enchated Valley, maka hacling kamu akan berubah menjadi Strider
C. Baby Pets
Baby Pets bisa didapatkan dengan menyelesaikan
Baby domestic pets can be acquired by completing pet-related quests or can be purchased from the pet manager with Pet Exchange Tickets produced in each clan hall.

Domestic pets eat Baby Spice pet food and possess lower combat ability than other pets.

Snce there are so many questions about this I thought I'd put together some answers from my experience.
Q. What's the difference between the Baby Pets and the Pets from the Beast Farm?
A. You can get the Baby Pets starting at level 24, they are permanent. The pets from the Beast Farm are an upper level 60s quest and they are temporary. They follow you for varied amounts of time but if you log off you lose them. This FAQ is about the Baby Pets.
Q. Where do I get a Baby Pet?
A. There are three quests for these. Visit the Pet Manager in Giran, Dion or Gludio. I have also heard that clan halls sell the Pet Exchange Tickets. (Thanks to Gronmin for this information who obviously has more pull than I do, since he is in a clan hall!)
Q. I want a Baby Cougar, where do I get that?
A. If you want the cougar you will need to visit the Pet Manager in Giran. The Buffalo comes from Dion and the Kookaburra from Gludio. I know you can find complete quest guides on Stratics cause I wrote them. The quest names are "Help my Son," "Help my Uncle," and "Help my Sister."
Q. What level can I get my baby at?
A. The Cougar is level 26, the Buffalo level 25 and the Kookaburra level 24.
Q. What is the difference between the different Baby Pets?
A. They start at a different level (see above) but other than that, just the way they look.
Q. What do I feed my baby after I get it?
A. Baby Spice you purchase from the Pet Manager. The pet will feed itself automatically so you don't have to 'force feed' it. Just make sure you have enough food in its inventory. It might feed itself fine even if the food is in your inventory, but I haven't tested that.
Q. Will my Baby ever grow up?
A. No. There is no word on whether they will ever let the Baby Pets grow up in future Chronicles, but in this one a Baby is always a Baby.
Q. What does my Baby Pet do?
A. You mean besides die easily and take 10% of your XP? They heal you. Small heals that get slightly larger with level, but always still small comparatively.
Q. I am a caster and I want a Baby that does recharge.
A. Sorry, you are out of luck. There is no Baby Pet that recharges, however if you are a high enough level (upper 60s) you can go to the Beast Farm in the Rune area and get a temporary pet there. These pets will do random buffing and healing or recharge.
Q. What kind of armor can my Baby wear?
A. None. They have a horribly low P. Def and will die in one hit to pretty much anything. A common tactic is to hide them somewhere safe, tell them to stay and fight mobs out of their aggro range. I had good success running around with mine on the PTS. I had a character that could use the skill "Hate" and was very careful to always grab agro on any extras. Still, even with being very careful, my pet died a few times before I got the hang of it.
Q. Can my Baby use a weapon?
A. No, all they do is follow you, take 10% of your XP, heal, make cute little noises and die easily.
Q. Can my Baby use Soulshots?
A. They CAN and they can attack, but it's just not worth it, considering their P. Atk seems to stay at 1 always. (Credit for this goes to SpoiledPrincess!) However you can use SPS or BSPS to improve their heals.
Q. Can I level my Baby?
A. Sure can! They level fairly quickly and their heals get slightly better as they level.
Q. What happens if they die?
A. If you are a caster with a rez you can resurrect them. If you can't rez, make sure to carry several rez scrolls with you. Someone else can also rez your pet. You will get a confirmation box on the rez and need to accept it. Please note that if something happens and you get any other kind of pop up you will lose your that chance at the rez. This means your Baby won't be rezzed and if you were using a scroll, you will lose it. Just like other pets you have 20 minutes to rez it.
Q. What happens if I don't get it rezzed in 20 minutes?
A. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, your Baby is gone forever! They are just like other pets (Wolves and Striders) and the same rules on feeding and dying apply. If you don't feed them, they die, if you don't rez them they are gone.
Q. If my Baby dies or I sell them can I do the quest again?
A. No, it's a one time only quest. You'd have to do it with another character (can be on the same account just not the same character). You can buy a replacement at a clan hall. I haven't confirmed the price, however.
Q. Can I trade my Baby to someone else?
A. Sure can?ou can trade it or sell it or give it away.
Q. Can I name my Baby?
A. Of course and I'm sure you will pick out a wonderful name for your cute little Baby.
Q. Can I have a Baby Cougar and a Baby Buffalo both?
A. You can have all three, but not have more than one OUT at a time. You can't have any other Pet or Summons (except the Tamed ones from the Beast farm) out with the Baby. This is particularly bad for Summoners.
Q. So if their heals are so low and they die so quickly, what good are they?
A. Well, if you dismiss the cute factor (and they are so very cute), they do help melee classes cut the downtime for soloing considerably. But they are expensive to get and you have to keep up with food and rez scrolls so they aren't for everyone.
Q. How much do they heal for?
A. Thanks to SpoiledPrincess for gathering the following information:
Normal heals
Level 26-29 = 26 hp
Level 30-38 = 39 hp
Critical Battle Heals (HP bar is flashing)
Level 26-29 = 100 hp
Level 30-38 = 141 hp
After that, I don't have any information.
Q. What's the maximum level?
A. I haven't personally confirmed it, but it appears the maximum level is level 80.

The lord of the castle can ride a wyvern freely throughout the sky.
Wyverns can only be ridden by speaking with the Wyvern Manager at the uppermost floors of the castle.
To ride a wyvern, one must be riding a strider when speaking to the Wyvern Manager. B-grade crystals are required.
Wyverns, like other pets, need to be continuously fed with wyvern food. If they are not fed, they will be forcibly unsummoned and players will be returned to the closest village.
While riding a wyvern, you may not attack any monsters, but you may use the wyvern's special breath attack skill to attack other players.
You cannot pick up items while astride a wyvern, and players cannot use skills.
When /dismount is used, wyverns will promptly disappear. When the wyvern is unsummoned in mid-air, falling damage can be applied - so beware! When riding wyverns into special regions, like the top floor of the Tower of Insolence, where one cannot go under normal circumstances, dismounting is not allowed.
If the castle lord changes while the player is riding the wyvern, the former castle lord will be forcibly unmounted.

New Pets
All pets can be raised up to level 86. The Pet Manager NPCs now carry a pet raising guide that includes helpful tips and information for raising your pets.
Fenrir
If your summoned Great Wolf is above level 70, you can evolve it into a Fenrir that is mountable by speaking with the Pet Manager NPCs. Improved Baby Buffalo, Kookaburra, and Cougar
* If your summoned baby Buffalo, Kookaburra, or Cougar is level 55 or above, you can evolve it into an improved pet by speaking with the Pet Manager NPC.
* An improved baby pet can cast buffs on its owner.
Great Snow Wolf, Snow Fenrir, and Red Dusk/Red Star/Red Wind Strider
* All members of a clan that is in possession of the Rune or Aden Clan Halls may exchange their normal wolf or strider pet for a Clan Hall one. A Great Wolf can be exchanged for a Great Snow Wolf. A Fenrir can be exchanged for a Snow Fenrir, and Striders may be exchanged for a Red Star, Red Dusk, or Red Wind Strider, respectively.
* The Great Snow Wolf, Snow Fenrir, and Red Striders possess unique skills that ordinary pets do not, and their defense and mounted moving speed are higher than those of normal (non Clan Hall obtained) pets.
* The special Clan Hall obtained pets cannot be used unless a clan is in possession of a Clan Hall, but they can be exchanged again for the previous pets through the Pet Trader Mickey NPC in the Towns of Aden and Rune Township.
* The summoning collars for the Great Snow Wolf, Snow Fenrir, Red Dusk/Red Star/Red Wind Strider cannot be dropped, exchanged, or sold.
